The Nokandu Training Room

Here, yoda will answer any queries on his spiritual art and practices, called Nokandu.

All practitioners, of any experience level, are invited to contribute to the stream of yoda’s wisdom.

A. May the Force be with us!  R. And also with them.

Reblogged this on Burrito's Stable and commented:

I just rediscovered this old jokey blog I created 7 years ago with the help of “Yoda” 😉

“Nokandu” is my favourite martial art as it involves no physical contact, just a firm desire not to get involved with anything dodgy, such as a cold caller from abroad trying to get your trade. In English, it translates as “No can do”.

  2. Much debate about the cause of human suffering, there is!

Some say selfishness, some say delusion, some say the inability to distinguish the real from the unreal.

    Poppycock, all.

All suffering comes from a person’s inability to sit still, and be alone.

    Simples!

I’m leaving this comment, mainly because I don’t like the number 13 (mine’s the fourteenth); but also because I found Yoda’s opening aphorism (or is pensée du jour more apt?) to be food for thought, or should I say – quelque chose à mâcher?

  4. Thank you Burrito, for restoring the “sacredness” of this thread.

You may remember the bad news: There is NOTHING YOU CAN DO to attain Enlightenment-it’s a gift.

The GOOD NEWS is: There is nothing at all you can do to attain Enlightenment.

    IT’S A GIFT.

Merthyr Tydfil consists, like most of the UK, of estates of altered consciousness.

Despair not! This widespread drunkenness and drug befuddlement is a sign of spiritual hunger; it really is!

    Q. What can Nokandu offer the chemically happified?

    A. Non-chemical intoxication!

Nokandu practitioners(NPs) will gain most disciples by boasting truthfully of their joy, without using words..

NPs aren’t squares, they are multi-billion pointed stars.

So, Master, relieve the tension please, what’s the “good news”?

I thought that “altered estates of consciousness” were all they had in Merthyr!

Great, it’s something I can be given without having to do anything to earn.

Hold on, that sounds like an estate agent’s fees: you aren’t trying to sell me a house in Merthyr are you?

Oh yes, Raven, Enlightenment is unearned! Master says so, but it does have to be sought for.

Master yoda is an agent for altered estates of consciousness, I think, even in Merthyr.

He deals also in fields containing treasure of great worth.

  8. Greetings Raven.

Yes, concerning the attainment of Enlightenment, both good and bad news, there is.

First, the bad news: There is NOTHING YOU CAN DO to attain Enlightenment-it’s a gift.

Lack of ambition: that sounds like my type of thing.

But your words are madness, Master!

We are creatures of free will. Proactive rather than reactive.

Many people will be put off by this.

  11. What an excellent start then, Burrito.

The first stage on the road to Nokandu, is to have no interest in learning it. No desire, or ambition to attain it.

    Master yoda,

It seems that nobody is interested in learning to master Nokandu and thus achieve, errh, enlightenment.

  13. And, as your employer, might I just remind you of the correct Rule for this establishment:

    Dray! Bray! Pray!

Good little Burro obeys the Rule, and stays out of the Snug, he does, I hope.

  14. Thank you Burrito,

Yes, silence is not the absence of sound, but the absence of SELF.

    Fight on.

    Dear yoda,

My Spanish only runs to one word, but it sums up my approach to Nokandu perfectly, and bears repeating ad infinitum:

    Nada, nada, nada, nada, nada…………
